Decoding the I-Q file in an SDR program: All variants contained text errors.   No error-free decoding in S-AM, AM, LSB, USB, DSB

The only successful solution was to play the I-Q file in a normal wave editor (after normalization).
If you listen to this audio under a stereo headphone, you can hear the phase stereo (polarization rotations) in the ionosphere.
The two co-channel stations (KBC and RHC) are better acoustically separated, spatially separated.

This was the only way to decode the backscattered and disturbed KBC MFSK-tones to 100% error-free.

Loud Shrimp Named After Rock Band

VOA News
April 12, 2017

A shrimp that uses a very loud sound to stun its prey has been
named after legendary rock band Pink Floyd.

The Synalpheus pinkfloydi, a kind of pistol shrimp, has an
oversized pink claw, which, when snapped, creates a blast that's
louder than a gunshot.

Sammy de Grave of Oxford University's Museum of Natural History,
who named the shrimp, combined the loudness, the pink color and
his love for Pink Floyd to come up with the name.

"I have been listening to Floyd since The Wall was released in
1979, when I was 14 years old. I've seen them play live several
times since, including the Hyde Park reunion gig for Live 8 in
2005," he told The Telegraph newspaper, referencing the
anti-poverty benefit concerts. "The description of this new
species of pistol shrimp was the perfect opportunity to finally
give a nod to my favorite band."

When Synalpheus pinkfloydi snaps its claw, it creates a
"high-pressure cavitation bubble which collapses to produce one
of the loudest sounds in the ocean," The Telegraph reported. The
sound can be as loud as 210 decibels, which is enough to stun or
kill small fish.

The bubble is also hot, reaching temperatures as high as 4,400
degrees Celsius.

This is not the first time de Grave has named a crustacean after
his love of rock and roll, the BBC reports. The Elephantis
jaggerai is a tribute to Mick Jagger, front man of the Rolling

De Grave's description of the shrimp, which was discovered off
the Pacific coast of Panama, was published in the journal

Major Azerbaijan Internet Provider Reportedly Blocking RFE/RL

RFE/RL press release
April 13, 2017

WASHINGTON - One of Azerbaijan's biggest Internet service
providers appears to be blocking access to RFE/RL's Azerbaijani
Service website, a major source of independent news for the

The latest blockage, by Delta Telecom, began on March 27 and is
documented in an April 10 report by the non-profit digital
security services group Qurium. Delta Telecom is one of only two
providers licensed by the Azerbaijani government to connect
international Internet traffic, according to Freedom House. The
blockage affects Internet traffic to the websites of RFE/RL's
Azerbaijani Service (azadliq.org) and independent media outlets
Meydan TV (meydan.tv) and the newspaper Azadliq (azadliq.info).

RFE/RL President Thomas Kent condemned the blockage as a
"flagrant abuse of power by Azerbaijani authorities to obstruct
RFE/RL's mission to provide independent information and reporting
to audiences in Azerbaijan."

The interference follows the publication of investigations by the
Azerbaijani Service, in cooperation with the Sarajevo-based
Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project, on financial
activities linked to members of the president's family and inner
circle. The Service has also recently published reports raising
questions about costs associated with a September 2016 referendum
that extended the term of presidential office from five to seven
years, and created the post of Vice President, to which President
Ilham Aliyev appointed his wife earlier this year.

Previous Qurium reports have documented efforts in December 2016
to generate artificial Internet network congestion within
Azerbaijan to prevent access to the websites of both RFE/RL's and
the Voice of America's Azerbaijani services. The group also
documented distributed denial of service and other attacks in
January 2017 against independent media outlets abzas.net,
cumhuriyyet.net and azadliq.info that it traced to Azerbaijani
government-associated IP addresses.

RFE/RL's Azerbaijani Service, known locally as Radio Azadliq, has
responded to the interference by publishing stories directly to
Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and other social media, where it
has hundreds of thousands of followers and millions of engaged

Authorities launched a concerted effort against the Azerbaijani
Service in December 2014, arresting prominent RFE/RL
investigative journalist Khadija Ismayilova on charges that were
widely condemned by media advocates as politically motivated.
Weeks later, RFE/RL's Baku bureau was raided and sealed by
government agents in connection with tax-related claims that
RFE/RL has called "baseless" and has sought to have adjudicated
in court, but which forced closure of the bureau in May, 2015.
Ismayilova was released from prison in May 2016.

Azerbaijan is rated as "Not Free" in the 2016 Freedom House
Freedom of the Press Rankings, and journalists are regularly
detained and harassed by government officials. RFE/RL's
Azerbaijani Service continues to gather and report the news from
RFE/RL's headquarters in Prague for its website, azadliq.org, and
remains a vital alternative to Azerbaijan's government-controlled

From Radio Free Asia:

China Blocks South Korean TV in Dispute Over Missile Defense

Chinese cable television companies have cut off access to South
Korean programming in a move by Beijing to punish Seoul for
installing a missile defense system aimed at North Korea, but
which China says threatens its own security, sources say.

The blocking of South Korean drama and news shows follows earlier
measures taken to show China's displeasure over the Terminal High
Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system being deployed in South
Korea in the wake of Pyongyang's test launch of ballistic

Boycotts of South Korean goods and services have spread across
China in recent weeks, with Chinese travel agents also halting
group tours to South Korea and Chinese hotels turning away South
Korean guests, sources say.

Now, Chinese authorities have blocked access in China to popular
South Korean broadcasting, a source in Yanji city in China's
Jilin province told RFA's Korean Service.

"They have blocked South Korean television channels because of
the THAAD deployment dispute," RFA's source said, speaking on
condition of anonymity.

"It has been almost a month now since the channels were blocked,
and we see no sign of getting them back," he said.

'Nothing being done'

Access to the popular and affordable programming was cut without
notice, leading to widespread customer complaints, the source
said, adding, "The company says only that we should wait, but
nothing is being done."

"In large cities like Yanji and Jilin, people are busy installing
satellite antennas that can let them watch the broadcasts," the
source said. "They are lining up to do this even though the
antennas cost 700 yuan [U.S. $102 approx.] to install and a
complicated registration process is involved."

South Korean drama and other entertainment shows are popular with
Chinese viewers, "but viewer numbers are especially high because
South Korean news programs show the international situation the
way it really is," a resident of Weihai city in China's Shandong
province told RFA.

"But all channels have been blocked since April 2, and I can't
watch South Korean television now."

"The Chinese cable television companies never explained why they
are blocking South Korean channels, but most people are convinced
this is a result of Chinese authorities' emotional response to
South Korea's deployment of THAAD," he said.

Free App Allows Blind Hams to Work PSK31

A free, new app Accessible Digipan has been released that
allows blind hams to operate PSK31. The download includes the
app, audio tutorials, detailed written guides, and additional
helpful resources, plus DigiPan PSK31 and PSK63 software.

ARRL member Richard McDonald, KK6MRH, and Jim Snowbarger, WA0PSS
both blind developed the program. "Until now, blind hams
worldwide have not had any accessible program to work PSK31,"
McDonald said. "Now they do."

Accessible Digipan brings together the most popular screen
reader, JAWS, and DigiPan, McDonald said, and the app will work
with many different kinds of rigs, interfaces, and Windows
